The fun and games, food and hay rides was a great success. Our thanks go out to all who helped. Everyone needs to especially thank the coordinators, Adrienne Kazarian and Tracy Jennings. OUTSTANDING! Thanks to all of my creative helpers who made the park and the pavilion look so festive - Melissa Marmor, Sandra Bartosh, Mary, Cynthia O'Brien Thanks to Girl Scout Troop #86 who ran the spooky foot feely fair at the park! The kids who braved the scary looking tent loved all of the foot stations! Thanks to Cheryl Kool (and any others who may have gone unnoticed) for helping clean up the pavilion Thanks to all those who donated yummy treats for all of us to enjoy! Those "finger" cookies were sooo great!! Thanks to all of the hayride drivers for pulling the trailers through the neighborhood! What a wonderful event! And thanks to Tracy Jennings for organizing the whole thing! And finally thanks to everyone for attending another successful Saddletree Ranch Halloween event!!Once again we couldn’t have done better when it came to the weather for our Halloween party and hayride. Everyone, kids and adults, seemed to enjoy the atmosphere and the company of their neighbors. Thank you to all who handed out treats, decorated your houses and yards, and volunteered your time. Any early worries about lack of hayride space for the big turnout was an illusion. There was plenty of space for all, thanks to our trusted volunteer drivers: Craig Banks, Jim Bartosh, Mark Peters, Randy Briley, Charlie Chupik, Charlie Graham, Jeff Kennedy, Bart Koehler, Kevin Lutz, and Tim Schmitz. Thank you also to those who put in an extra effort to provide trailers for us including Craig Banks, Charlie Chupik, Jim Siddons, and Craig and Debbie Svetlik. A big, big thanks goes to Mike Greer who persevered in attaining hay, despite complications. Thank you to Scott Schmok our hay liaison and to the hay-loading team headed by Kevin Lutz and Mike Kool with help from Charlie Chupik, Logan Schmok, Austin Greer, Jeff Kennedy, and Tim Schmitz. Thank you to Tracy Spiers for guiding us to Susan Bowers who provided garage space to protect the hay while it was in our care. Thank you Susan. Enjoy your candy, and we’ll see you all next year! At least one of the counties has a Burn Ban in Effect
Many residents in the neighborhood have voiced their concern regarding cars and trucks speeding through the neighborhood. Although the SR POA has no direct authority over such laws the Board took the issue to the Hays County Sheriff. As a result there will be enhanced patrolling throughout the area. Officially the sheriff staff is performing an assessment of the situation to make recommendations. So, do not be alarmed if your see more patrols, this is for our safety. Remember that speeding within the neighborhood, especially along Saddletree Lane and in the mailbox area, is dangerous to all. Please report unsafe driving and speeding to your local authorities (county sheriff).
Board Officers According to the association's by-laws, the election of officers occurs at the first meeting following the Annual Meeting. This year the meeting was held on July 16th.
Drive Safely It seems that speeding through the neighborhood remains a problem as a number of complaints have been received recently. Remember that speeding within the neighborhood, especially along Saddletree Lane and in the mailbox area, is dangerous to all.
