SADDLETREE RANCH 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION

The Wahls took some pictures of Saddletree Ranch 4th of July Celebration as our neighborhood Editors and thought it may be of interest to post on SR Website.  Check out the photo album.Click Here for album

It was a beautiful day & we must add the weather was perfect.  The bounce house was grand & the food, music and fellowship superb.  The kids parade is a much appreciated bonus to living in our community.

Thank you to all the folks who participated in our neighborhood event.  Also, thank you to those who supported our kids as they rode their bikes from our club house to the park.  Those of you in the blue american flag t-shirts brought wonderful energy to celebrate our Independance day.

Thank you.  Thank you all.  And especially Thank You to ALL the Men & Women who make this day possible.

Jim and Sandra Bartosh are an amazing couple who pour their hearts into our neighborhood.  This couple truly are to be admired.  They are wonderful hosts and we are proud to say they are ours in Saddletree Ranch.

I could go on & on ...... We are Especially thankful for the Lutzenberger's and their antique car

Burn Ban "Idea"

Consider this, folks.  Seems that every year the counties institute Burn Bans.  And every year we have a bunch of people who can't fire up those "burn piles" because of the bans.  Well, how about considering the idea of burning those piles of brush, etc. now when there is no ban in effect?   Who knows it might save the POA postage because we don't need to send that darn letter that says "you have debris..."

Just a thought.

Annual Meeting

SRPOA holds an Annual Meeting once a year.  The annual meetings, for those of you who have not attended one, are a great time to reflect on the past fiscal year's ups and downs and look forward to the new fiscal year's opportunities and challenges.  All property owners in good standing are invited..encouraged.. to attend.

Traditionally they have occurred on a Saturday morning on or about the first or second weekend in July. Given the day that the 4th of July falls on and the history of slim attendance we thought we'd try something a little different this year.  As a result the ANNUAL MEETING will be held at 7PM on Wed. July 14th at the clubhouse.

 Clubhouse Rules

  • Turn off lights, appliances, heater/AC before leaving.
  • Close all cabinets and doors.
  • Sweep floors and clean any messes, trash, or stains.
  • Remove trash to the outside clubhouse garbage container.
  • Move furniture back to its original position.
  • Fix or replace any broken items to avoid being charged replacement and service fees for broken or missing items.
  • Lock door before leaving.
  • A $50 cleaning fee will be charged to residents that do not leave the clubhouse in the same condition prior to their event.
  • Smoking is prohibited inside or on the clubhouse porch.

Come and shoot some hoops

Standing game every Saturday at 7:30 AM.  Open to anyone who's interested in playing a friendly game of hoops. Either show up or if you want more information contact Michael Brack, 214.938.988 michaelb@datumengineers.com

Dogs....

Seems the complaints about dogs in general are escalating.  More specifically, the complaints about barking, quantity of dogs per lot, roaming and general nuisance are escalating in that order.

The restrictions state:

A maximum of two (2) dogs per Lot shall be permitted. Any and all animals, including household pets, require appropriate fencing to confine them to their Lot. All plans and specifications for such fencing shall first be approved by the Board. No animal shall be permitted until the fencing is completed. No portion of any Lot shall be used in a manner that adversely affects adjoining Lot Owners or creates an annoyance or nuisance to other Owners. This shall include noise pollution such as barking dogs, loud music, or any animal or fowl that causes a nuisance.

T
he restrictions are a legally binding agreement you signed when you bought your property.  It is therefore legally required that you adhere to them, but more importantly it is the neighborly thing to do.

HPR Fence

So you know, your Board is trying (as several boards in the past) to establish the roles and responsibilities regarding the fence along Hamilton Pool Road.

There are sections of the fence that are in poor condition that need repair.  There are also questions to be answered regarding who owns the fence, who is supposed to maintain the fence and, in general, what to do with the fence.

It is appropriate that you know that this is and has been a topic for quite some time and the board would like to hear inputs from the property owners.  So, if you have any inputs please contact one of the Board members
(SRPOA Board of Directors Mailing List)

Burn Bans

Neither of the counties have Burn Bans in Effect at this time.  Watch for the Burn Ban sign near the mail kiosks if either of the counties has a burn ban in effect.

The Saddletree Ranch "Burn Ban" signs are posted any time either one or both of the counties (Hays and Travis) declare such a ban. For more information on burn bans please click on the appropriate link below.

Hays County Fire Marshal

Safe Driving

Many residents in the neighborhood have voiced their concern regarding cars and trucks speeding through the neighborhood. Although the SR POA has no direct authority over such laws the Board took the issue to the Hays County Sheriff. As a result there will be enhanced patrolling throughout the area. Officially the sheriff staff is performing an assessment of the situation to make recommendations. So, do not be alarmed if your see more patrols, this is for our safety.

Remember that speeding within the neighborhood, especially along Saddletree Lane and in the mailbox area, is dangerous to all. Please report unsafe driving and speeding to your local authorities (county sheriff).
